Terms of Service

1. What TraxxTool is

TraxxTool is desktop software that helps you prepare backing tracks, guides and setlists for use with StageTraxx. The software is licensed, not sold. See the license & notices page. "We" is Matt Brook, trading as TraxxTool.

2. Accounts

You sign in with Google. You're responsible for keeping access to your Google account secure. One account is for one person; don't share paid entitlements. You can delete your account at any time from your account page.

3. Plans & payment

Community is free. Pro is a one-time purchase that unlocks Full Backup and unlimited Merge for the current major version; future major versions may require a new purchase. Cloud is a recurring subscription that requires Pro. Payments are processed by Stripe; we don't store your card details.

4. AI credits

TraxxTool AI features (transcription, lyric sync, track cleanup, guide voices) run through our servers and are paid with prepaid credits (1 credit ≈ $0.01). Credits: are tied to your account and non-transferable; never expire; are deducted per job based on actual usage (the rates are shown on the pricing page); and are not redeemable for cash. By purchasing credits you request immediate supply of digital content and acknowledge that once you start spending a credit pack you lose the statutory 14-day withdrawal right for it; an entirely unused pack can be refunded within 14 days of purchase. Email support. AI output is generated by third-party models and provided as-is; review before relying on it. You may also configure your own provider API keys instead. Those calls go directly from your machine and no credits are charged.

5. Cloud

Cloud stores versioned snapshots of your library metadata and settings (newest 20 versions, 1 GB per account) so you can back up and restore. It is a convenience backup, not an archival guarantee. Keep local backups of irreplaceable work. Cancel anytime; access continues to the end of the paid period, after which snapshots may be deleted.

6. Plugins & third-party modules

TraxxTool can load optional plugins (for example community download or lyrics modules). Plugins are not part of the TraxxTool product, are not covered by its license or by these terms' warranties, and are installed and used entirely at your own discretion and risk. You are solely responsible for complying with the terms of any third-party service a plugin interacts with, and for the content you obtain with it. We may list community plugins in the in-app catalog as a convenience; listing is not an endorsement, and no plugin functionality is part of what you purchase from us.

7. Refunds & cancellation

Cancel Cloud anytime from your account; access continues to the end of the paid period. For one-time Pro purchases, contact us within 14 days if something isn't right and we'll make it fair. Credit packs: see §4.

8. Acceptable use

Use TraxxTool with content you have the rights to. Don't use TraxxTool AI to generate unlawful content, don't attempt to circumvent metering or access controls, and don't abuse the service (we may throttle or suspend accounts that do, refunding unused paid balances where required by law).

9. Beta software & availability

macOS and Linux builds are provided as untested beta versions, as-is, without warranty of fitness on those platforms. We aim for high availability of online features but don't guarantee uninterrupted service; the desktop app keeps working offline except for the online features themselves.

10. Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, our total liability is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot lawfully be limited, or your statutory consumer rights.

11. Changes

We may update these terms; material changes will be posted here with a new date. Continued use after changes means acceptance.
