The macOS and Linux builds are provided as-is while we gather feedback. The core is the same cross-platform code, but they have not had the testing the Windows build has. Found an issue? Tell us.

Prefer to read first? The User manual (PDF) is also installed with the app.

Curious what changed in v2.7.1? Read the changelog. Already running TraxxTool? It can update itself: Settings, then General, then Updates.

Need a specific earlier build? Every version we have published is kept on the older releases page.

What you're getting

Four rooms, one flow

Get the stems in, get them stage-ready, wire up your gear, and get it onto the iPad.

Downloader

Pull multitrack stems straight into your library from direct links or Google Drive, split full mixes into stems, and let the track naming sort itself out while downloads land. Community plugins can add more sources, including popular backing-track providers.

Library

Every song project in one place: search, folders, playlists, batch selection, stereo rehearsal mixes, and one-click export of whole setlists to Song Share or, with Pro, Full Backup and Merge.

Workbench

The DAW-style room below: markers, cuts, warp, time-shift, trims and fades, lyric sync, guide voices and MIDI cues. Then export straight to StageTraxx.

Rig

Your MIDI gear in one place: pick each song's HeadRush rig, name your X Air faders, place QLC lighting cues, and set up generic MIDI devices. Build it all offline, then sync to the hardware when it is on the network.

TraxxTool workbench: colour-coded stems on a timeline with spoken guide cues, section markers, MIDI cues, a muted track and a warped bar
A real song mid-prep: stems on the timeline, synced section markers, spoken guide cues and MIDI markers, one Export Song button from the stage.
Lyrics Studio: lyric lines as draggable chips over a vocal-activity ribbon, with a StageTraxx preview
Lyrics Studio: drag each line onto the vocal until it lands, and preview it exactly as StageTraxx will render it.
Import dialog offering a six-stem split, click-track separation, or open as-is, locally for free or via cloud credits
One mp3 in, six stems out. Free on your own machine, or on a cloud GPU if you are in a hurry.
Community Charts browser: shared arrangements with star ratings, feature badges and verified-stems marks
Community charts: apply a shared arrangement onto your own stems, fingerprint-matched, and never the audio.
Rig tab: HeadRush connection banner, rig picker, block-chain and footswitch tools, and board sync
The Rig tab: pick each song's HeadRush rig, name your X Air faders, place lighting cues, and sync to the hardware.
Custom MIDI command editor for pedal and patch cues
MIDI pedal, patch and device cues, timed to the song. They survive your cuts and warps.
Editing toolbar: markers, cut, warp, time shift, trim/fade tools with snap and beat nudge
Five dedicated editor modes: markers, cut, warp, time-shift and trim/fade, all with transient snap.
Stereo mix export dialog with per-stem left/right folder mixes
Per-stem stereo folder mixes: click-left and band-right for the drummer, no-vocal for the singer.
TraxxTool library with folders, playlists, bus routing presets and batch setlist export
The library: folders, playlists, bus routing presets and whole-setlist export in one bar.
Song details editor: key, keywords, MIDI trigger, pitch, speed, trims and fades
StageTraxx song details: key, keywords, pitch, speed, trims and fades, written straight into the export.
Guide-voice settings: record your own cues for free, or pick a curated AI voice and preview it
Guide voices: record your own for free, or pick a curated AI voice and preview it before you commit.

Optional community add-ons

Free plugins that extend TraxxTool. They are separate from the product, and you install them at your own discretion.

Getting started

  1. Install and open. No extra dependencies on any platform. The audio engine and ffmpeg are bundled.
  2. Import stems. Drop a folder of stems or use the Downloader, and let AI auto-categorize the tracks.
  3. Polish. Sync lyrics, place vocal guides and count-ins, cut the arrangement, add MIDI cues.
  4. Export. Song Share (.st4s) is free forever. Pro unlocks Full Backup and merging into an existing library.

The AI tools (guide voices, lyric transcription, track cleanup) are optional. Sign in with Google to run them on credits, with 25 free to start and the price shown before every job, or bring your own ElevenLabs and LLM keys in Settings and pay us nothing. Everything else works without an account. See pricing.
